Setup for Snom (LDAP)

The Snom 300, 320, 360, 370, 820 and 870 telephones can access contacts through LDAP.

Setup

  1. Data Source
    Configure a replicator or a phonebook.
  2. LDAP node
    In Database Management, configure a new LDAP node named snom. This node is accessed with the baseDN dc=snom. Configure this LDAP node.

    Note the location settings for the telephone equipment.

  3. Telephone
    Configure the LDAP access in the web configuration of the phone. Under Setup / Advanced / LDAP, configure access to the LDAP server.
    LDAP name filter: (|(searchContact=%))
    LDAP number filter: (|(searchNumber=%))
    Server address Specify the IP address of the MetaDirectory
    Port Enter the TCP port of the MetaDirectory (default 712)
    Base Specify the LDAP node you have just configured (dc=snom)

    Maximum hits 50
    LDAP name attributes: cn sn displayName
    LDAP number attributes: telephoneNumber
