The communication between mail server and ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector can be encrypted.
In order to do so, it is mandatory to state a valid certificate, which is transmitted by the mail server for the authentication.
The base64-coded CA-certificate must must be stored in the installation directory of the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connectors under
..\<instance name>\Certificates as "cer"-file. See also "Additional Informations - Certificates",
You can determine whether the Connector shall accept an invalid certificate. In this case, it also accepts messages from the mail server when the certificate transmitted:
- is not valid (yet)
- does not correspond with the deposited one
- has expired
