Enter at least one LDAP-server and the corresponding port. The first connection data are entered with the installation of the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector

LdapVerbindung

If the first LDAP-server is not available, the query on the next one is started. The query on the next server is executed until either this server is no longer available or the "ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector Service” is restarted.

All the server must be domain controllers / LDAP-data base servers of the same domain on the same level.

For this feature, only "read" access to the data base is required. If a domain structure including sub-domains shall be searched in the Active Directory environment, the search must be via the "Global Catalog" (Port 3268).

SSL/LDAPS

If the communication with the LDAP-server shall be encrypted, please take care when entering the servers, that they correspond with the certificate. See also "Certificates" in tne Additional Informations,

Individuell LDAP port

If the users are to use the ixi-UMS User Portal provided web page of the ixi-UMS user settings, it must be possible to write to the LDAP database via the specified port.

If the query is carried out for incoming or outgoing UMS messages e.g. in the Active Directory environment via the "Global Catalog" or another port without write access, another LDAP port e.g. 389 can be specified here.
