Installing Printer on Terminal Server

It can happen that the IXI-printers are not available after the installation on a Windows 2003 Server. Under Windows 2003, a local policy is active by default, which prevents the installation of these printers. For the installation of the printers, this policy therefore has to be deactivated:

Add the SnapIn "Local Computer Policy" in the MMC.

Open the path like shown below.

Deactivate the policy "Disallow installation of printers using kernel-mode drivers".

You should now be able to install the printers without any problems.
