If an ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector is installed on the computer, the LDAP connection data can be used.

If no ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector is installed or if you want to enter the data manually, select "Individual LDAP settings".

The next page depends on the selection under "Select Mail Server and LDAP" and whether "Individual LDAP settings" or an already existing LDAP setting has been selected.

If a valid LDAP/mail server combination and the instance of an installed ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector have been selected under "Select mail server and LDAP", the connection data is displayed read-only and can be changed later in the MMC if required.
If "Foreign LDAP" was selected under "Select Mail Server and LDAP", the "IMAP Mailbox Attribute" must always be specified.

In the IMAP Mailbox Attribute the attribute must be entered in which the "Alias" = mailbox name is located. The attribute is required for the users to be able to query their voice-mailbox on the phone.
If "Individual LDAP Settings" is selected, you must enter the connection data to the LDAP database.

If a related LDAP/Mail Cerver combination has been selected under "Select mail server and LDAP" and the instance of an installed ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector has been selected, the connection data is displayed read-only and can be changed later in the MMC if necessary.
If "Foreign LDAP" was selected under "Select Mail Server and LDAP" , the "IMAP Mailbox Attributes" must always be selected.
Click on "Next", and the connection to the LDAP Directory is checked.

If no connection could be established, a respective message is displayed.
However, the setup can be continued.
All the data can be changed in the MMC later on.
