Select Mail Server and LDAP

First of all, the information about the mail server and the LDAP server is queried. Depending on which mail server is chosen, different LDAP servers are available for the user management.

Depending on this choice, the imap Access for the mailbox access is carried out.

The settings can be changed in the MMC later on.

IMAP access to the mailboxes is required for users to be able to query their voice mailbox on the phone.

If the LDAP user management is independent of the mailboxes in the mail server, the LDAP attribute in which the mailbox name is used to identify the user mailbox must be specified in the further course of the setup. The settings can be changed in the configuration after installation.

Remark:

Only combinations that are supported by ixi-UMS can be chosen. Some combinations cannot be defined via standardized accesses.

Example:

User management in "ixi-UMS User Management" or "Foreign LDAP"

and

- mail server type Domino from version 7

In this case, "Foreign" has to be chosen as mail server. The respective LDAP-fields for the query have to be entered in the ixi-UMS Voice-Mail Server configuration subsequently. Please rever the How To: Advanced LDAP-Settings.
