Initial setup

Telephone system

The system must be set up once for each exchange head using the "Initial setup".
If the exchange line ordered is available in the system, the line number is displayed in the "Initial setup" menu and can be selected for setting up the system.
Until the exchange line ordered is available, a test line with 10 extensions is provided for the Voice Services.

For the initial setup, the desired Telephone exchange connection must be selected and then "Set up system" selected.
You can also specify how users are set up with a phone number from the selected area:

  • The users are activated for the Voice Services (required)
  • A voice-mailbox is created for the activated users. This can be deactivated on the user object
  • The users are activated for estos ProCall (optional)
  • A SIP line is created for the users and provided as a softphone (opional)
The following actions are carried out with "Set up system":
  • The location is created
  • Users with a phone number from the selected range are activated for the ProCall Voice Services and a Voice-Mailbox is set up for each user.
  • SIP lines are created in UCServer for the phone numbers assigned to a user. (optional)
  • The corresponding softphone line is assigned to these users. (optional)
Users with phone numbers from a different number range or users without a phone number must be updated manually.

The process must be carried out for each external number range.

After setting up the system, the groups/hunt groups can be created and an Interactive Voice Menu (IVR) can be set up.

Drop-off number

A "drop number" can be specified for calls to numbers that are not assigned to a user or no terminal device is registered. It should be ensured that a terminal device is always active on this number or that valid call forwarding is set up.
