Note: If no user management is active, this dialog is deactivated.

Shows list of all available MetaDirectory users except user "LDAP root".

The icon indicates whether the user is enabled or not. If users are not enabled by a group membership, the activated group icon is displayed.
Username is the name with which the user logs on to the MetaDirectory and his display name.
Accessprofile attached to the user with symbol showing the actual profiles state.

If integrated user management is used, any number of users can be created. The button lt; Add... > creates a new user, and then opens the user settings.
The button lt; Remove> deletes the selected user.
A double-click or the button lt; Properties... > open the "Settings for Users"dialog.

Accessprofile
  • The user name (login) must be unique.
  • If the integrated user database is activated, a password can be assigned to the user. For the other modes, the password input field is not visible.
  • Exactly one access profile can be associated with a user. Disabled profiles are displayed with a gray icon. The nodes configured in the profile appear in the list below.
  • Nodes are accessed additively through the access profiles of the groupsin which the user is a member, as well as from his own. The origin of the node is displayed in the tooltip.
    Nodes from group-accessprofiles are shown italic. If user or group is inactiv, and therefore access to not possible, the node is shown grayed.
  • Inactive users show up with gray symbols.

Member of

    If the user has been imported from the estos UCServer or Microsoft® Active Directory®, the list of groupsin which he or she is a member is displayed.
