Setup for Polycom (LDAP)

The Polycom telephones in the SoundPoint and Media Phone series can access contacts through LDAP.
The corresponding feature is called Corporate Directory Access. A license for the Polycom Productivity Suite will be need to use this feature.

Alternatively, you can use the phones to access the estos MetaDirectory via the Polycom XML Browser.

Setup

  1. Data Source
    Configure a replicator or a phonebook.
  2. LDAP node
    In Database Management, configure a new LDAP node named polycom. This node is accessed with the baseDN dc=polycom. Configure this LDAP node.

    Note the location settings for the telephone equipment.

  3. Telephone
    Configure LDAP access in the sip.cfg file.
    If phonebooks are configured in the dc, Virtual List Views cannot be used. In this case, configure: dir.corp.vlv.allow="0"
