Voice Mail

If the checkmark is set at "Voice mail enabled", every user can makes use of the "voice box" and the caller can leave a message by default.

When the user has not deposited an own announcement, the default announcement is played:

Hello, you have reached the voice box <extension>. I am not in the office at the moment. Please leave a message after the tone.

If "Use global announcement" is enabled, one individually recorded announcement can be used, e.g.:

Hello, this is company estos. The desired participant is busy at the moment. Please leave a message.

Remark:

Only one announcement can be deposited. If required, it must contain the announcement in different languages. A language differentiation is not supported.

It has to be determined whether this announcement is used:

·when the user has not deposited an individual announcement  

·or Always, this means the announcements of the users shall be ignored. In this case, the user can record an individual voice box announcement, however, this announcement is ignored.

The global announcement can be recorded via an "Admin-page" or can be deposited as wav-file directly in ixi-UMS Voice-Mail Server.

For recording the announcement via the Admin-page, the access data determined here as well as a valid sender number for the ixi-UMS Kernel are required. User name and Password are arbitrary and are not checked against an LDAP-directory.

The link to open the Admin-page with the access data and an instruction can be sent by e-mail to any e-mail address.

If the global announcement shall only be played as long as the user does not have an own announcement, you have to determine which kind of User announcement shall be used:

Announcement type

At Description of the call transfer destination is announced by (only individual) it is determined, who announces the selection for the forwarding of callers. This setting is only possible in combination with the announcement type "Individual".
