Installation

1.An update of a ixi-UMS Enterprise version older than version 7.00 is not possible. Version 8.0 cannot be installed over ixi-UMS Enterprise versions older than 7.0.

Note:

Existing, by older ixi-UMS versions registered, ixi-UMS user data in the LDAP database remain can continue to be used.

Please note:

If the ixi-UMS user data is maintained in the attributes of the ixi-UMS schema extension before ixi-UMS version 6.50, it is recommended to install the new ixi-UMS schema extension and to transfer the data into the new attributes: Extending the Schema - Active Directory and ixi-UMS Schema Migration.

2.Log in with an administrator account. If you set up a services account for the other ixi-UMS Enterprise components (ixi-Framework, ixi-UMS Kernel), please use this account.

3.If you install the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector on the same computer as the mail server, note that the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector must have its own free IP address.

4.Install the latest ixi-Framework.

5.Install the latest ixi-UMS Kernel (optionally; can also be installed in a separate machine).

6.Install the latest ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector.
