Archiving

By default, all incoming and outgoing ixi-UMS messages are sent/forwarded to the recipient. Additionally, they can be archived locally in the ixi-UMS Kernel = archive.

If archiving is active, the ixi-UMS messages can be opened and re-sent via the detail view in queue and journal.

Archive associated files

Activates and deactivates the archiving of faxes. If the archiving is active, the fax can be opened via the detail view in the queue and the journal and can be resent.

In archive directory

The ixi-UMS messages are stored as a file in the specified directory. Fax messages are stored as .sff and can only be opened using a special viewer.

A local directory or a directory in the network can be stated. Determines the path to the directory in that the messages are stored.

If the messages shall be stored in a network directory, the UNC-must be entered.

In journal database

The messages are stored in the database and can only be opened via the ixi-UMS Web Journal or the ixi-UMS Kernel Journal.

Archive the following job types

Enables and disables archiving of faxes, voice and/or SMS messages.

Note:

Only if the archiving is activated can be incomming and outgoing UMS-messages displayed, printed and stored in the ixi-UMS Web Journal Otherwise only the reports are displayed.
