The preconfiguration of the LDAP-attributes stated here depends on the setting selected during the installation at "Select Mail Server and LDAP". The stated attributes are important for the assignment of the user to his mailbox as well as the login at the mail server by IMAP4.

If not Domino or Active Directory is used as LDAP-server or if the use of LDAP- and mail server differs from default, the needed LDAP-attributes may have to be changed in order to guarantee an error-free functioning. Please refer "Advanced LDAP-Settings" at Additional Information.

LDAP-Erweitert

At User / Login Name, the definite attribute has to be entered with that the user can be identified.

This can e.g. be his CN, uid or sAMAccountName. Please note that these entries are case-sensitive.

As Mailbox Name / Alias, the attribute has to be entered in LDAP, in which the mailbox name of the user is entered.

Remark:

The attribute entered here at "User / Login Name" is also used for the check / identification of the user name with the NT-Authentication. Please refer to "Individual IMAP4 User Log-in" at Additional Information.
