Fax- and voice-files can be provided for the polling.

Polling

State the call number and the fax file to be polled. For the fax polling, the following entries are required:

Extension;;Optional Announcement;File Name.sff;5

Example:

385;;pricelistwav;IFA29908_Dokument1.sff;5

At the extension 385, the caller in this example hears the following announcement:

"Thank you for your interest in our price list". After that, the file "IFA29908_Dokument1.sff" is sent as a fax.

On Demand

The caller is informed about the single selection options by announcement, the selection of the respective menu items is realized via DTMF.

ixi-UMS delivers the document as soon as the caller has reached the wanted document and starts the fax reception e.g. by redirecting the call to the own fax machine.

Remark:

Call numbers that are used for fax polling services here can not be used for the sending and the reception (only if both polling- and regular fax-services are used on the same ixi-UMS Server).
