| 1. | Existing SMTP-based ixi-UMS Connectors can be upgraded with the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector as long as only one is installed. The settings of the SMTP-based ixi-UMS Connector are saved and then the ixi-UMS Connector is automatically uninstalled. If multiple SMTP-based ixi-UMS Connectors are installed, you will be prompted to uninstall them: |

Existing ixi-UMS user data are preserved and can be used further more.
Please note:
If the ixi-UMS user data is maintained in the attributes of the ixi-UMS schema extension before ixi-UMS version 6.50, it is recommended to install the new ixi-UMS schema extension and to transfer the data into the new attributes: Extending the Schema - Active Directory and ixi-UMS Schema Migration.
| 2. | Log in with an administrator account. If you set up a services account for the other ixi-UMS Enterprise components (ixi-Framework, ixi-UMS Kernel), please use this account. |
| 3. | If you install the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector on the same computer as the mail server, note that the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector must have its own free IP address.
