Using Windows Mail as Mail Client

Under MS Windows Vista, Windows Mail is available as successor of Outlook Express. Because of the high security settings in the operating system, the ixi-UMS Client Tools can no longer transfer the files to the mail client without any problems.

The ixi-UMS Client Tools can only work with Windows Mail when:

·Service Pack 1 for Vista is installed

·User Access Control (UAC) is disabled

Moreover, Windows Mail as mail client has to be entered in the Properties of the Internet Explorer.

Remark:

If MS Outlook is installed on the system, the ixi-UMS Client Tools can no longer transfer files to Windows Mail.
