Groups

Remark: This dialog is deactivated when usermanagement is disabled.

The estos MetaDirectory groups will be replicated from estos UCServer or Microsoft® Active Directory® into an integrated database. The access is read-only. No data will be written back.

Groups are disabled by default.

A group is assigned to exactly one accessprofile. Activating a group causes additiv inheritance of the accessprofile to its members.

Activation of groups grants access rights to all users of this group, assuming that these are activated in Active Directory® or UCServer. A group can only be activated if there is a license for any user of the group.
If not, the group will be deactivated immediately. An activated user, who is member of an activated group, will consume only one user license.

Userrights of groups are additive. A user inherites all accessrights from groups where he is member, additionally to its own.
