Set connection type

At the beginning of the installation, the environment for which the estos ProCall is to be installed must be specified.

  • Direct connection to UCServer
The ProCall connects to the UCServer installed in the local network.
  • Connect to PN_UCAAS_SHORT or via estos UCConnect
The ProCall connects to the corresponding estos GmbH services on the Internet.
Depending on the selection, the required connection data will be requested.

service features

If the UCServer is installed in the local network, it can be specified:
  • ProCall Install workstation
Select this option to fully install the ProCall application.
  • Only install the extended remote TAPI driver
Select this option if you do not need the ProCall application. Only the extended remote TAPI driver is installed. This driver enables third-party software to use all functions via TAPI with the estos UCServer.

This selection is not offered during installation for the connection to estos UCConnect or PN_UCAAS_SHORT.

Automatic Software Updates
You can specify whether the ProCall should be kept up to date by the estos UCServer. If this is the case, a local Windows® service is set up that is connected to the estos UCServer and downloads and installs the latest client software as required. However, this requires the software update service to be activated on the estos UCServer.

Installation options Tapi driver
If you install the complete ProCall application, you can also select here which Tapi driver is to be installed.

  • Do not install a Tapi driver
The latest version of estos ProCall doesn't require a TAPI driver for communication with the estos UCServer anymore. All functions are provided by direct communication now. This simplifies the installation and maintenance of the software even more in Terminal Server environments.
  • Installation of the client TAPI driver
The Client TAPI driver enables third-party applications to dial via TAPI. The driver uses estos ProCall as a connection to estos UCServer to perform the dialing. No additional TCP/IP connection is required. In addition, installation and maintenance on terminal servers are much easier than with TAPI.
  • Installation of the enhanced remote TAPI driver(only for installations with estos UCServer in the internal network)
With the help of this driver, third party manufacturer's software can use all functions via TAPI and the estos UCServer. Nevertheless, this driver needs another TSP/IP connection with the server.
