User authentication is performed on HCL Notes® via a special DLL copied to the HCL Notes® directory. When the replicator is configured, the nextpwd.dll is copied to the HCL Notes® directory. Therefore, the user setting up the replicator must have write permissions in the HCL Notes® installation directory. The DLL is copied automatically, no user intervention is required. If there are problems accessing HCL Notes®, check if the nextpwd.dll has been copied.

No special rights are required to replicate HCL Notes®. The HCL Notes® user must have access rights to the data assets to be replicated.
