Manage instances

Several instances can be created in ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector. This makes it possible to connect several mail servers and / or LDAP user administrations.

You can always set up multiple instances. Whether these can be used at the same time depends on the ixi-UMS license.

If several instances are to be used simultaneously, each instance must be assigned its own IP address (which can then also use the same port (standard 25)) or all instances must be bound to the same IP address and a different port must be entered for each instance.

In the menu "Manage instances" all instances that have been set up are displayed. Regardless of the license, new instances can be created and deleted.

Depending on the license, multiple instances can be activated or only one instance can be selected.
