Connection

The LDAP connection information was taken from an installed SMTP-based ixi-UMS connector or from an instance of ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector when installing the ixi-UMS Voice-Mail Server.

If the LDAP settings or the Search string shall differ from the ixi-UMS Connector settings, you can switch over to "Individual LDAP settings" and type in the connecttion data.

Optional: Connecttion to alternative LDAP-Server

If the first LDAP-server is not available, the query on the optional next one is started.

The query on the next server is executed until either this server is no longer available or the "ixi-Apache service” is restarted.

Please note that the connection MUST be established via LDAP, as a write-access is required.

All the servers must be domain controllers / LDAP-data base servers of the same domain on the same level.

If the communication with the LDAP-server shall be encrypted, please take care when entering the servers, that they correspond with the certificate. See also "How To - Certificates".
