ixi-UMS Notifier Express

The ixi-UMS Notifier Express is a service for the notification of new faxes, voice mails and short messages (SMS).

When a new message arrives at the ixi-UMS Kernel, the created "rule" is checked by the Notifier Web Service.

The settings can be made globally at the ixi-UMS Voice-Mail Server, per user in the LDAP data base and / or by the user via the browser-based ixi-UMS voice-mailbox configuration.

IXI-MMC-Notifier

The Notifier Web Service activates the respective notifications when messages come in. With the signaling at the telephone, the UMS recipient number (extension) is displayed on the phone as sender. Please take notice of the information in the User Management.

As the settings are stored in the LDAP data base, the ixi-UMS Notifier Express is independent of the messaging system.

Notifications about new e-mails are not possible, because the ixi-UMS Kernel does not "know" about arriving e-mails.

When the messages are accessed via the ixi-UMS Voice-Mail Server (access by telephone), the message counter and the MWI-status at the telephone (if applicable) is reset as soon as the user calls the message menu.

When the messages are accessed via the mail client, the message counter and the status indication at the telephone - if applicable - must be reset manually.

This is possible for the user via the ixi-UMS Client Tools or via a respective mail to:

NOTIFIER_EXPRESS_OFF@ixialert.com.

Precondition ixi-UMS Kernel 5.8 or higher

Notifications can be sent:

o	as MWI to workstation telephone

o	as SMS to mobile phones

o	as phone call to workstation telephones and mobile phones - new messages are played
