IP-Addresses

Each instance of ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector uses one of the local IP addresses/port combinations to receive SMTP messages.

The mail server must send outgoing UMS-messages to this IP-address and port.

Configure the IP address and port on which the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector should receive the emails from the mail server.

If several instances are to be used simultaneously, each instance must be assigned its own IP address (which can then also use the same port (standard 25)) or all instances can be linked to the same IP address and a different port can be entered for each. If you choose a port that differs from the standard SMTP port 25, make sure that the mail server supports sending to a different port.

In addition, it can be determined from which IP addresses the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector should accept UMS messages (e-mails).
