ixi-UMS MDS Configuration

The ixi-UMS MDS 5.8 is configured via a Snap-In in the Microsoft Management Console (MMC).

e needed Snap-In is registered automatically on the machine during the installation.

MMCMDS

The call of the MMC is desposited in the start menu, in which the Snap-In is already available. The Snap-In - as any other Snap-In - can also be added to an MMC (32bit)..

regsvr32

The required files are provided in the respective installation directory of the ixi-UMS Component in the sub-folder "Management".

Copy the folder "Management", at the least the respective "...Snapin.dll" with the accompanying ini-file, to the machine. Close all the MMC's and register the files with "regsvr32".

Add the SnapIn in an MMC.

Via right-click on "ixi-UMS MDS Configuration" and "Add", other ixi-UMS MDS Version 60.00 or higher, which are installed in the network, can be added to the Console and therewith also be configured.
