Installation

Before you start the ixi-UMS Kernel setup,  

·all older Version must be de-installed  installed version completely

·the ixi-Framework in Version 7.00 or higher has to be installed

·you have to be logged in with an administrator account

·the ISDN-board / V-CAPI / XCAPI should be installed and configured (this can also be done subsequently)

The setup contains no configuration wizard.

All the settings have to be performed in the Microsoft Management Console after the installation in the ixi-UMS Kernel Configuration Snap-In.

After the installation, the following settings are active by default:

·Reports in HTML is active

·incoming faxes are delivered as PDF and TIFF

·no printing of incoming messages

After the installation, the settings in the ixi-UMS Kernel Configuration of the Location must be edited.

Update Installation

Installations with ixi-UMS less than 7.00 cannot be updated.
