Replicator for Microsoft® Outlook/Exchange

Please follow the general instructions for setting up a replicator on the Replicator Wizard page.

Support for this replicator is discontinued. It is recommended to use EWS Replicator instead.
Microsoft® Exchange and Outlook® are accessed through MAPI. MAPI profiles are stored per user. Replication occurs in the context of a user for whom a MAPI profile must be set up. Note that the MAPI profile must be set up so that no additional passwords are queried.

Procedure for Adding a Replicator

  1. Select the type of data source
    Select the Microsoft® Outlook/Exchange database type.
  2. Define the credentials under which the data source can be accessed
    User login
    One of the current user's MAPI profiles is in use. Enter the password of this user.
  3. Settings for the data source (selecting the server, the data structure to be imported, etc.)
    MAPI Profile
    Enter the name of the MAPI profile you want to use. Select the profile with Browse.... If access to the profile is protected with a password, enter it as well.
    Folder
    Enter the folder from which you want to use the contacts. You can specify whether to search subfolders with . If the logon failed error occurs here, you must configure the profile to be used without further manual input of a password.
  4. Field mapping, which source fields are copied to which LDAP fields
  5. Configure links to contact URL
  6. Datasource location settings
  7. Schedule replication plan
  8. Defining additional applications to be started
  9. Assigning a name for the new replicator
