Introduction

The ECSTA for Avaya IP Office provides a Telephony Service Provider (TSP) for Microsoft® TAPI 2.1 (also 2.2 and 3.0). This TAPI driver creates a central communication between a PC and the telephone system. The config UI of the ECSTA for Avaya IP Office can be used to select which interface the ECSTA for Avaya IP Office should use for communication with the Avaya IP Office.
In this way, the communication on the part of the ECSTA for Avaya IP Office can be set up via the One-X Portal interface of the Avaya One-X Portal process to the Avaya IP Office. This interface is used by Avaya IP Office from release version R. 10.1 provided. Alternatively, communication between the ECSTA for Avaya IP Office and the Avaya IP Office can be established via the MTCTI interface. This interface is provided by Avaya IP Office from release version R.11.1.
