The communication between mail server and ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector can be encrypted.
In order to do so, it is mandatory to state a valid certificate, which is transmitted by the connector for the authentication.
The Base64-coded X.509 certificate together with the corresponding private key in the form of a "crt" and a "key" file must be stored in the installation directory of the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector under
..\<instance name>\Certificates .
At "How To - Certificates", there are explanations on how to create these files from a pfx-certificate.
Please determine how the Connector shall behave if the transmitted certificate does not correspond with the deposited certificate.
