Name der Instanz

The ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector can manage multiple instances. Each instance needs its own name and directories. During the setup, the first instance with a permanently assigned name is created.

If another instance is created after the installation, both names must be assigned.

As an extension in the display name of the service andas a display name in the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector Management, the name Instance1 is entered.

The name of the instance-ID is MSConnInst1. This name is used for the installation directory, connector transfer directories, as a display name in configuration selections in other ixi-UMS products and as a supplement to log files and service name:

After installing the ixi-UMS Mail Server Connector, additional instances can be created and deleted.
